Smiles for a Lifetime

Dr. Dau is proud to partner with the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation, which is a charitable non-profit organization that provides orthodontic care to individuals who may not otherwise have the opportunity to acquire assistance. Established in 2008, Smile for a Lifetime Foundation aims to reach individuals with financial challenges, special situations, and orthodontic needs. The Foundation sponsors the orthodontic care of hundreds of patients each year. Smile for a Lifetime Foundation has participating orthodontists throughout the US. Each chapter has its own local Board of Directors who chooses patients to be treated by the Foundation.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create self-confidence, inspire hope, and change the lives of children in our community in a dramatic way. The gift of a smile can do all this for a deserving, undeserved individual who, in turn, can use this gift to better themselves and our community.

My Braces Scholarship

Applicants who are selected will receive the My Braces Scholarship though Dau Orthodontics, which will cover the complete cost of orthodontic treatment. Qualifications:

Ages 11-18
Must have crooked teeth and jaws
Total household income below 175% of Federal Poverty Guidelines
Must have good oral hygiene
Be motivated to comply with program guidelines and treatment plans

Application Process

To become a candidate, interested patients must complete a Smile for a Lifetime Foundation application that is available at the bottom of this page. Please also download and read the Application Guidelines to ensure you have attached all the correct information. The Application Guidelines will explain the entire process to you. After receiving your application, the Board of Directors will meet (usually semi-annually) to review and select qualified candidates for the My Braces Scholarship.
